5.2 Education & Outreach
This program provides teachers with the resources and professional development they need to bring agriculture to their students. Students can then make informed decisions about their food choices, the importance of food safety and the food supply.
Provide agricultural awareness and leadership training opportunities for over 3,600 youth in British Columbia, 950 enrolled 4-H adult volunteer leaders, enrolled in the 4-H program; plus many other volunteers, alumni and sponsors.
Services are provided through website access to the research, development and co-ordination of relevant information (BC Content) along with other resources.
Programs across Canada build an awareness and an understanding of sustainable agriculture and food systems by providing educational programs and resources to students and teachers. Links to each provincial program.

Growing Alberta is a comprehensive communications and public relations program that builds understanding and awareness with Albertans on the agriculture and food industry.
Annual conference to bring together people who share a common interest in agriculture awareness programs: to exchange ideas, improve the efficiency of existing programs, develop partnerships leading to new programs, and showcase regional achievements.
Ag Awareness Toolkit will be useful for anyone organizing or volunteering at an agricultural education event.
