Obsolete Pesticide collection is a program where unwanted agricultural pesticides are collected and disposed of in a safe manner. Earier farmers in the Peace Region had an opportunity to easily dispose of their obsolete pesticides. During previous collection, over 3,000 kilograms of obsolete pesticides were collected. The British Columbia program was co-sponsored by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, BC Ministry of Environment, Environment Canada, BC Ministry of Agriculture, BC Agriculture Council, Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC and Health Canada and Crop-Life Canada.
