Cowpower is powered by AgriFoodBC. When looking for a development platform to build their website, CowPower turned to AgriFoodBC's online creation tools to get the job done. The end result: a professional and dynamic site that fully captures and communicates their message with the added benefit of an online shopping cart to collect payments from members.

Challenge
CowPower needed a low cost solution to communicate the CowPower initiative, a not-for-profit that provides BC's electric customers with a direct way to support local agriculture while increasing their environmental sustainability.Solution
CowPower was the first project to work with AgriFoodBC. A flexible and fully featured template was created which formed the basis of the Website Template Tool, a collection of pre-built designs that can be used for other organizations in the future. The CowPower template is strong in visual design and sponsor presence and includes a blog and newsletter—with a focus on acquiring new members. The Video Module Tool allows CowPower to use visually compelling imagery to better communicate their offering to their customers. AgriFoodBC's Online Shopping Cart tool was developed to meet CowPower's need to collect payments for environmentally sustainable power produced by the organization.

Results
The tools that were developed for CowPower helped communicate their offering—in a cost effective manner. They allowed CowPower to optimize their budget by utilizing a full set of professional tools.
